Gas Turbine Package Sourcing and Relocation
Often referred to as re-purposing, we source and relocate packages globally. We work closely with customers to determine their requirement and work to align the requirement with equipment sourced from OEM’s and aftermarket service providers.
Turbo-machinery Repair and Overhaul
We support customers with OEM overhaul and repair of gas turbines and centrifugal gas compressors. This support further extends to process compressor re-bundling and fouling management.
Turbo-machinery Operations and Maintenance Support
We provide best in class maintenance and operations support for gas turbine and turbo-machinery operators. This includes support on mechanical work scopes from engine exchange and alignment to full package and BOP support.
Control, Instrument, and F&G Safety System Support
At VG Engineering we offer a full suite of support services on control systems, instrument systems, safety systems, and F&G systems. These include control system services and upgrades, instrument and F&G device calibration checks and loop testing, control system troubleshooting and refurbishment.
Parts, Spares, and Special Tools
At VG Engineering we support customers with spares, parts, and consumables on the following:
- Solar Turbines® gas turbine packages (including Saturn®, Centaur®, Taurus®, and Mars®)
- Solar Turbines® process compressors (C16, C30, C33,and C40)

GAS TURBINE PACKAGE REFURBISHMENT
Zero Hour Package Refurbishment
At VG Engineering we support customers with full cycle re-purposing of existing gas turbine packages. This service includes full or partial refurbishment to zero hour condition of the following:
- Package enclosure including F&G systems and other ancillary systems.
- Package and gas turbine systems including: fuel (dual and single) system, lube oil system, and all ancillary systems.
- Control systems (retrofit and upgrade) including all instrument systems and other safety systems.
- Engine overhaul and zero hour repair (where required).
- Air intake systems replacement including new filtration systems.
- Gearbox and generator repair and refurbishment including conversion between 50Hz and 60 Hz.
- Generator packages (including 50Hz – 60 Hz conversion and vice versa).
- Gas compression packages (including WGS to DGS conversion).
THis service provided across aeroderivitive and light industrial gas turbine packages in the 1.2MW to 25MW power range and multiples of engines to increase the size range.
GAS TURBINE PACKAGE SOURCING AND RELOCATION
The correct package at the correct price
At VG Engineering we support customers by working with OEM’s and aftermarket service companies to source the right equipment for the project at hand. This includes:
- Identifying the gas turbine equipment required. This will include the intended use and the site conditions under which the equipment will operate.
- Sourcing of the correctly specified equipment from the new (surplus) equipment market and aftermarket equipment in line with customer requirement.
- Assistance to inspect the equipment to ensure it is in operational condition and meets the intended purpose.
- Support to relocate the equipment including dismantling, preservation, packing for shipment, and shipping to identified location.
- Re-installation support including siting equipment, installation, re-commissioning, and start-up.
